Â鶹Éç offers three medical programs to students looking to pursue a job in the healthcare field.
Medical Assistant Training Program
Learn to assist physicians by performing functions related to the administrative and clinical responsibilities of a medical office.
Â鶹Éç, in partnership with Core Physicians and Wentworth-Douglass Physician Corp., has developed a twelve-week Medical Assistant Certificate program of 320 hours of classroom instruction, hands-on lab experiences and a 160-hour externship at local medical offices.
New! Phlebotomy Training Program
The Phlebotomy training program gives you the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to become a phlebotomist.
During this 8-week (64 hour) programÌý you will gain the theoretical, interpersonal, as well as clinical skills necessary to become a phlebotomist.Ìý At the conclusion of the program, you will be well prepared for the Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification exam through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) Training Program
The LNA training program prepares you to work in a vital role providing direct patient care and emphasizes many areas of healthcare education including infection control, safety and proper body mechanics.
This six-week intensive training program, approved by the NH Board of Nursing and run by Manchester Community College, and offered Â鶹Éç in Portsmouth.Ìý
- Program Dates: October 7 – November 15, 2024
- Theory: Online through MCC Canvas learning Modules (60 hours)
- Lab Dates/Times: 8:00-4:30PM, on campus at GBCC (24 hours)

Monday – October 14 - Clinical Dates/Times/Location: Edgewood Nursing and Rehab Center, Portsmouth (60 hours)
Thursday – October 17 (7:30-11:30AM)
Tuesday/Thursday – October 22, 24, 29, 31, November 5, 7, 12 (7:30-4:00PM)
